May 2007- Advance Welding received NADCAP re-accreditation with merit for Welding (Fusion and Resistance) and Brazing (Torch and Induction).
August 2006- Advance Welding’s Quality System receives AS9100 and ISO9001 approval.
June 2006- Advance Welding received NADCAP accreditation for Welding (Fusion and Resistance) and Brazing (Torch and Induction).
November 2005 – Our Vice president and Shop Supervisor attended the AWS/Fabtech Welding Show in Chicago, IL
October 2005 – Our Vice President and one Certified Welder attended the 10th AA/ AWS Aluminum Welding Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, FL
September 2005 – Two employees begin attending 13-week evening course called “Principles of Failure Analysis” held at Bose in Framingham, MA
June 2005- Our Vice President and Management Representative attended the Round 20 Workforce Training Fund awards held at Western Mass. Electric. Governor Mitt Romney and other state officials attended the awards ceremony.
May 2005 – We received notification from the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund that we were awarded a training grant in the amount of $31,400.00. Funds are to be used for training our employees in NADCAP, ISO and AS9000 quality systems and procedures.
Community Involvement
June 2007- Advance Welding made a generous monetary donation to Memorial School (located across the street from Advance Welding).
The money will go towards the purchase of a rock climbing wall for the elementary grade students.
November 2005 -Advance Welding makes a monetary donation to the West Springfield High School Robotics Team and also pledges to assist them with welding services if needed.
September 2005 – Advance Welding generously donated to the American Red Cross to support its relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina.
July 2005- Advance Welding’s Vice President and Management Representative participated in the 2nd Annual Westfield Voc-Tech Golf Classic hosted by the Western Mass. National Tooling and Machining Association. Advance Welding was also a Bronze Event Sponsor with proceeds benefiting the Westfield Voc-Tech High School Manufacturing Technology Department and the Dick Sutherland Memorial Scholarship Fund
June 2005 – A donation was made to support the West Springfield Firefighters Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The money raised benefited four local charities.
June 2005 – A donation was made to support the Connecticut River Challenge Canoe & Kayak Race that benefited the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, MA
June 2005 – Our Vice President attends roundtable discussion with Gov. Mitt Romney in Boston along with NTMA (National Tooling & Machining Association) members to discuss the burden of high Unemployment Insurance Taxes on our industry.
May 2005 – Chicopee Vocational High School (Chicopee, MA) welding students visited Advance Welding for lunch and tour of our facility. Our local News Channel 22 was also invited and featured a segment on the evening news about our student tour.
